For the third consecutive year, the Artbus will offer several complimentary tours through museums, galleries and other special events during Arco. Conceived as an itinerant exhibition space and meeting point for professionals and aficionados, the Artbus will allow its passengers to visit the fair and to attend its numerous parallel exhibitions, openings and events comfortably.

During the ride, the interior of the bus will host a video program curated by Lara Taubman entitled "Not figments of a madman's imagination: the Uncanny in Contemporary Romanian Video", showcasing works by Dan Acostioaei, Anca Benera, Mona Vatamanu & Florin Tudor, Ciprian Muresan and Gabriela Vanga.

Tour: Thursday February 14, 2008

On Thursday February 14th, the Artbus will offer a guided tour across the art fair, informing its passengers on the newest art practices. Following this, the Artbus will return to the city center, in order to attend a private cocktail offered by Activos en Renta (invitation only)

Tour: Friday February 15, 2008

The Artbus will depart at 8 pm from Ifema towards the Romanian Cultural Institute in Madrid (c/ Marqués de Urquijo, 47, 1º derecha), to attend the opening of "Not figments of a madman's imagination: the Uncanny in Contemporary Romanian Video". After a brief presentation by the exhibition's curator, Lara Taubman, a glass of wine will be served.

As in previous editions, the Artbus will allow Arco visitors to discover some of the most exciting art centers outside Madrid. The Artbus will depart at 11 am from the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza to Burgos, visiting the recently opened exhibitions by Hiraki Sawa, Marcel Van Eeden, Rosa Rubio and Fran Mohíno at the CAB Burgos. Passengers will have a 2 hour break to visit the city, before haeding back to Madrid.
